What was the highlight of Redang Island Resort
Efficient taxi service to the beach for snorkelling.
It was close to the port and had a large swimming pool with pool towels .
The steep climb up to accommodation as the road had repairs on it and not lit very well at night . Breakfast was basic . Only one coffee machine. Lots of things off the menu , drinks as well as food .

What was the highlight of Redang Island Resort
Overall it was a pleasant stay and set amidst the quieter part of the island.
Redang Island Resort is situated in a quiet area of Redang Island which was a bonus point as we were looking for tranquility. Encik Ariff was kind enough to upgrade us to a seaview room which had a lovely view of the sunrise and sunset and the backyard was overlooking the sea. The room itself is set amidst a Malay kampung wooden house and had its appeal. This is Berjaya's older resort and is a bit run down but if refurbishing and renovations are done it has the potential to be much better. The room itself was very basic, set in the 80's style hotel and had an old shower head. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. There are numerous activities like snorkeling and island hopping that you can book direct from the hotel. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
The breakfast buffet could have been improved upon with perhaps a counter that serves scrambled eggs made on the spot. There was not much fruit served and the porridge was tasteless. There were chipped plates still being used and definitely should be replaced. Much to be improved at the breakfast buffet.
